About Us

Welcome to the home of beautiful macrame and fibre art designs. Each design is unique and will make the perfect gift, home decor accessory, shopfront window display or event decor. Our passion is macrame and fibre wall art, often using dip dye techniques to make unique modern wall art pieces. Our scope of work goes way beyond this to include large rope installations for restaurants around the globe, hotels and individual homes.

Artesense was established in 2013, but it was in 2016 that we learnt the art of macrame and rebranded as macrame and fibre artists, branching into event decor hire at the time. Another side line to our business is making window display props, which we have done since 2017. We have had the wonderful privilege of hand making these beautiful props from paper and fabric flowers, to dip dyed art backdrops for Miladys stores around South Africa. We can also make and design anything you wish for your wedding or special event! You will find plenty of inspiration in our gallery and styled shoots as well as our portfolio for large projects .

Our team is made up of myself, the owner, designer and founder of Artesense, and my lovely assistant, Busi, who has been with me from the very beginning! That is when we are not working on a large project - for which we would employ between 10-15 local women.

Our work is a work of heart, handcrafted with passion and love from the sunny coastal city of Durban, South Africa. I believe that when you make something by hand, you are giving a little piece of your heart and soul, so as a creative it is my pleasure to make these handcrafted works of art available to you wherever you are in the world.
