We have had the wonderful opportunity to make unique and often one-off designs for individual clients and interior / architectural design specialists in the hospitality industry.

Our portfolio includes: The Desert Grace Hotel in Namibia, The Penthouse at The Five Hotel in Dubai, various Safari lodges in South Africa, a chain of restaurants in Australia (for export) and even The Middle East.

Our speciality is fibre wall art and installations, and bespoke lighting. We work with various cotton yarns and rope or string fibres, as well as dip dyed techniques to create beautiful pieces of wall art, screens, room dividers and bespoke lighting and chandeliers, to name a few.

One of our proudest commissions in the early days of our journey, was The Desert Grace Hotel in Namibia which opened its doors in October 2018. We had the honour of making a massive macrame lampshade which hung in the centre of the main dining hall; a set of 6 panels installed above the bar area, shelving panels and 68 macrame plant hangers and pots which formed a beautiful display in the dining area as well as in each bedroom.

 

 

 

 

 

The following wall art was designed and made exclusively for Carters Collective. It is therefore displayed purely for the purpose of showcasing our scope of work and some of the projects we have undertaken.
